Mr. Christopher Jones

Mr. Christopher Jones is a principal at BCT Partners, a national consulting firm that delivers a full range of research and evaluation, technical assistance, program management, and information technology services. BCT is able to manage the entire life cycle of research investigations including (1) the preparation of a research design, (2) the performance of the study research, and (3) the delivery of study reports, and other written material.

Prior to working at BCT, Mr. Jones served nine years as the Assistant Dean for Graduate Education at MIT. During his tenure, he directed and managed various minority recruitment programs and initiatives, one of which is the MIT Summer Research Program (MSRP). He was also the Founding Director of the Amgen Scholars National Program, an eight-year, $34 million commitment from the Amgen Foundation.

Christopher recently served as the executive director of the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI), a 30-year-old nationally recognized community nonprofit in the Dudley neighborhood of Boston.

Prior to joining DSNI, Mr. Jones served as assistant dean for graduate education at MIT (where he is an alumnus). During his tenure, graduate applications from underrepresented minorities rose from approximately 300 to 1300, and enrollment doubled from 7% to 14%, a significant progression toward MIT goals.

Mr. Jones holds a Ph.D. from MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP). He also holds BS degrees in both Physics and Mathematics from Morehouse College, as well as SM degrees in both Nuclear Engineering and Technology and Policy from MIT. 

Mr. Jones lives in Maryland with his wife, Dr. Jerrilyn Jones, and their two young daughters.
